about

The wind passes through a thousand things, fields, forests, lakes, houses, people
Then little by little it ends its run and disappears. In the poetic imagination I think of a non-place, where the wind goes to die, away from everything.
It is that moment in a film in which the character decides to let go, or to finish his race and go to somewhere else that we do not know.
The gaze shifts from the macrocosm to inner intimacy that cannot be seen, but only imagined.
The piece has a classical inspiration, echoes the complexity of Bach, carrying out a series of evocative patterns performed by a solo piano and ethereal sounds that give the sensation of having a halo around it that sometimes creates temporary blurs.
I particularly care about this piece since The piano was played by Kanako Shirakawa in his hometown in Japan.
Kanako is a composer, pianist and now a meditation teacher, we met at the Berklee School in Boston by attending the Composition and Orchestration for Film course together. Her playing is so precise and ethereal at the same time that she perfectly describes an imaginary place like the one where the wind goes to calm down.
